The trick is not to try and hear the discrete
channels, that's impossible. Instead you need
to realize that the channels don't exist.

Yeah, that's it. Let's put the receiver in 3 channel mode, so no one will hear the rears, since we don't want the system to be directionalizable (I think I just made up a word....lol).

The different between DD and dts is the compression. DD use a 10% ratio and dts use a 25% ratio. When you uncompress dts there’s less degradation. The degradation of DD is between 12% to 18%. The loss with dts is only 2% to 8%.

The reason only some movie are released with the dts format is that it competes with other formats.

And I always thought Home Theatre was a man thing.

Not really a woman thing, just an out of date thing. John Adams used this expression in "1776" for example.

Hmm, not unless we're in the midst of a time warp, spatial distortion or differing matrix programs. Mine you, I did once mention to the wife that in one of the infinite parallel universes I’d be married to Jordan. What a frightening thought.

It might just be parallel co-existance in the void of space time continuim. We will never know forsure without folding space. In another one of the infinately parallel universes, Lorena Bobbitt is my wife.

Actually the cutting isn't quite that bad, it's the &$*%@£# injection that brings tears to your eyes.
