I have spent about 39 hours trying to get my projector to turn on via IR.

I do not have an IR senors to be able to record the code.

I cant find any code libraries of it online.

Can anyone help me out?

I resorted to writing a script that brute forces the IR via LIRC going through all of the know controller profiles, but I dont think that it is going to work.

Can anyone help me out in finding the freaking IR codes for my projector.

Thanks!!!!

There are some "freaking" codes for Optoma projectors on http://irdb.globalcache.com/ but nothing that maches "HD-180X" exactly. Most likely something there will do. For example, the "Optoma HD & EP Series" has a POWER TOGGLE (sorry no discretes) that is NEC2, D=79, S=80,F=2

PS. For talking to Lircd from Python, check out my project Lirconian: [Link: github.com]

Wow!

Thanks for the help!

For those codes, how do I translate them to LIRC config files? I cant figure that part out.

I had resorted to writing a LIRC brute force script. Your implementation is way nicer.

Going to try the codes from your website now.

Thanks!!!

"them" = the csv files from Control Tower? Use IrScrutinizer, pane Import / Text/CSV / Raw with Name col. = 1, Raw signal col = 3, and Field separator ",". Then export as Lirc. Done with a few keyclicks.

So it looks like Irscrutinzer has a ControlTower plugin where it shows all of the remotes on the import tab. But I dont know how to "Import" the codes so I can "export" the code in LIRC format. Is there a button missing? ;p

Going to keep looking!

Looks like I already got the maximum amount of codes I can for today for ControlTower.

None of them worked. :(

I am not sure what to do now... I think Im just going to download all of the optomoa codes and use my brute force script to see if any of them work.

Short form of Barfolemew... From the movie Spaceballs by Mel Brooks.

GlobalCache does not let non-premium users download using the API, so, no, it is not implemented. Instead you have a CSV file mailed, and import it according to the instructions in my Post #4.

None of them worked. :(

Do you have ANY signal that works? If so, we can try to go from there.

No signals that work. I need to basically try brute forcing the signals from commandtower.

Unless do you know how to brute force based on IR HEX codes?

If not a single signals work, in the sense that your device does not react at all to any, I strongly suspect that something else is wrong, for example the sending hardware.

How many different protocols and device numbers (D in IrScrutinizer) have you found in the command sets from GlobalCache?

I have the remote for the device, so I know it works.

I just dont have a way to capture the IR codes from the device, which is why I am trying to go through all of the IR libraries.
