Bit of an update. I was getting no help from Samsung, so I tried the vendor, (Richer Sounds), they have been most helpful, but not yet resolved the problem.

They will also chase Samsung for an answer, given they are a major player here in the UK, they may have a better chance of an answer than us poor users.

Will post if/when I hear more.

Logitech has already been through this with Samsung. Code doesn't exist and won't be added. That's straight from Samsung. You'll have to continue using the workaround. If Logitech can't get Samsung to budge, doubtful your local vendor can.

I sadly suspect you are correct, but live in hope. In the meantime I have found a macro that seems 100% OK for HDMI4 (provided it has an active input), and this is

4 seconds delay

I'm looking for the hexidecimal IR code for "Tools" on a Samsung UN60ES6500F display.

[Link: samsung.com]

Were you able to find it?

I was able to find it in post 8. How long have you been a System Integrator?

I believe some have updated the firmware and HDMI 4 works. Is that possible?
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

Please post your source. I have seen no evidence of this. Of course, newer models have restored discrete HDMI 4 functionality.

I am looking for the discrete codes of Extra and 123 which are on the remote for the Samsung ks8000. Can't learn from the remote because it's RF.

Thank You Bob H.

Extra is OBC (Function) 175 and 123 is most likely OBC 168 which you can look up from the earlier post will all 255 codes.

If that's not it, you'll have to find 123 by trial and error. But I have to ask what purpose it would serve on a universal remote with a number pad already. Seems pointless to me unless your remote has no numbers.

Thank you, the Extra was function 175 and I didn't bother with "123". You were right, I had already did the numeric pad on my Pronto 7500 from an old Samsung TV file.

Thank You again. Bob H.

Hi Allan, I'm really new to this so I'm not sure how i should get those IR codes. But if you tell me how to do it I can try to get them!

Hi Bob, did you found the code for the Home button of the KS8000 remote?

Has anyone had success locating a discrete code for 'ScreenCast'? Also called MiraCast. I can get there by navigating (comp, sources, right, select), but timing is inconsistent.
