I'm looking for Discrete Power Codes for the Samsung line of Blue Ray players.
BD-P2550, BD-P1600, BD-P3600, BD-P4600
Yes, I could use the "Play" command to power the unit on, but if there is a disc in the unit, then there is a very long delay before I can issue a "Stop" command to access NetFlix and Pandora.
I can't leave the player on because it likes to power itself off after an hour or so of no usage.
I would be very surprised if Samsung really released this brand new line of Blue Ray players and didn't provide proper Discrete codes for power. Very surprised.
Anyone?

samsung don't seem to offer discrete codes for anything other than their display devices, this is the code i have for power toggle for an 'old' 1400, if it works on your player then i reckon that samsung have retained their IR protocol and discretes probably don't exist, if it doesn't work then post a learned code from your player.
power toggle:
0000 006C 0000 0027 00AB 00AD 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0039 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 00AC 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 087A

As other have noted, Samsung does not provide discrete on/off for their BR players. However, even if they did I think you would have the same problem if there is a disk in the tray. The stupid thing insists on loading the disk before it will respond to a command to stop (try it - just power on with the power button). I always turn the system on with the eject button and remove any disk if I want to access Netflix.

Too bad that the disk people have not gotten the message since their panels have discrete on/off.

What I have been doing and it is working fine is:

ON: Play
OFF: Play + delay 3s + Power Toggle

If its on and you hit on it will just play
If its off and you hit off, it will come on and go off for sure.
