Is anyone here doing permanent Christmas lights? If so, is it profitable?

My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder." |

50000 hours is what the guarantee is for the company I am talking to Ask what happens if they fail. I suspect it will be similar to coverage from a surge protection company.

5 year parts including bulbs Are you in talks with the company from Alberta? We don't do it but another LEC around us does and I believe he is very profitable doing it as long as you have the equipment. To me it would be worth purchasing an articulating lift (used from a rental place is the best) as over time renting them will become a pain when you are doing more installs.

Anything touted to be permanent, in real life never is.
The advertising sells lotsa stuff, nonetheless.

50000 hours is what the guarantee is for the company I am talking to Chinese manufacturers often throw out numbers like that. It's no skin off their back if it goes bad in a tenth of that time. It cost them $.02 to make the thing they charged you $20 for, so if they have to replace them, they still make a killing. Your the one that has to go climb that ladder.

5 year parts including bulbs And, what is involved in finding the bad ones, removing then and installing the new ones? If they're in trees, it's a PITA.

Yes we are in talks with that company. Seems to be profitable Yea looking on their site the local electrician is one of the top installers around us so it has to be profitable or he wouldn't be doing it. They buy in is quite high but not sure how that relates to what is required for one project (obviously house size dependant). For those questioning the permanent aspect. The company is in one of the northern cities in Canada. If they can guarantee permanent with temperatures between -40 and +30C and lights working they have something.

Will keep you updated on how well we do with this new line... [Link: associatedis.ca]
