Anyone seen this with URC or universal remotes in general?

Push 1-9 or 0 when watching DirecTV...all works fine and as advertised.

If you are in the Guide when DirecTV is on and you push the numbers 2, 4, 5 or 7 it brings up "Guide Options". If you push any of the other 6 numbers, it goes to the channel in the Guide the way it normally would. If you go into the Guide and press either 2, 4, 5 or 7 with the DirecTV remote, it DOESN'T bring up "Guide Options".

2,4,5 and 7 are from the same codeset as all the other numbers. Very wacky. Anyone else seen this?

If we were still on-site or experienced this when we were there we would try learning the codes directly for 2, 4, 5 and 7 but we found out after we left. We've used our DTV codes many times without incident and have never heard of this.

P.S. The DTV box has been power-cycled...no change.

I have never seen that before.
But.... a lot of people dropped DirecTV years ago when they went to complete crap. So I literally haven't seen a DirecTV setup for a few years now. It's possible DirecTV changed something in the firmware to cause this (it's happen before).

The #1 most critical thing missing from your post (and it 100% matters on this), which DirecTV receiver are we talking about? Because there are dozens & dozens at this point and there are more than a few of those with quarks.

We are (codeset 173). I also checked just to make sure that our template hadn't gotten tweaked where some buttons were 173 and others were another code and this wasn't the case. All of the buttons work fine when you aren't in guide. When you're in the guide and you press 2,4,5 or 7, it brings up "Guide Options".

Once we get on site again, we'll just relearn 2,4,5,7 from the DTV remote and see what happens. Wacky.

Thanks
