Need to supply a few 32" TV for a doctor's office to play power point slides; what do you guys recommend? Should I bother with commercial or residential would work as well if the client doesn't care about the shorter lifespan.

No issues doing a resi panel, just remember installing a residential panel in a commercial setting you are only getting I believe 90 day warranty
You can't fix stupid

Thank you; any of them better with playback from usb drives? The TVs will have to play in a loop a PowerPoint presentation exported as video and saved to a USB drive.

i was in an ice cream shop that had roku TVs.  I think they were TCLs.  They had a USB Drive playing on a loop and it worked fine once I showed them how to take the TVs out of demo store mode.  Fixed all 5 of their TVs and didn't even get a free ice cream.

Leaning towards Roku TV as well; TCL or the Roku ones (probably rebranded TCL anyway)?

I bought a WBox TV because the CRT TV in my bedroom started to act up and that thing sucked something awful. Then, settings and channels stored started changing and when I found out that I could return it during the warranty, I did. I bought an Insignia from BB and it's not only far better, it cost far less.

That TV is used a lot and I have had zero problems. In a setting like this, it's cheap enough that if it fails after 2-3 years, replacing it isn't a terrible thing- it was just over $100.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

For most of the Android TVs we install our "digitalsignage.apk" software on it to be the "player". For non AndroidTVs, we use fireTV sticks or cubes as the player.
All centrally (and locally) controlled by myServer 6 automation controller including TV on / off via IP.

Bringing that up as it's an example of other things to consider when sourcing the TV ie: w/ an OS or not to eliminate a player (that can cost as much as the resi TV does).
