How do you handle system control? Is there a dedicated house phone/pad or do you instruct how to install a Sonos controller on the renter's device?

The nice thing is when it’s connected to the tv the people who don’t care to use Sonos can just listen to better tv sound or play music on tv & use the remote for control. Owners do put in the instructions how to download the app for full control. Most people that want to play music in multiple zones will be able to figure it out easily or they are already familiar. Those that don’t want to are stoked because they can actually hear the people talking on the tv. It’s a win win.
Knowing that Gold went up a few K makes me think "well now I have to do a better job on selling more equipment".

As long as CEC and ARC work.  Failures starting to mount.  Some claim Samsung TVs at fault; a Sony I set up with a Beam kept switching from Beam to TV speakers until I ran optical output from TV to Beam.

Bump... I'm having this exact issue. Samsung 55QN90C with a Beam. Originally it was set up with HDMI and Arc, but the TV would revert back to TV speakers after a week or two. I swapped HDMI cables (from stock Sonos to Metra Install Bay) thinking I had just tied it down to tightly around the motion mount, now it is very loose, but supported by the mount. (Customer rarely moves TV.)

I'll switch to the optical adapter next. Apparently, I've been lucky to have no real glitches in the last couple years on the basic Arc stuff. Software is up to date on both items. Customer is an older guy, basic system, only other piece is a Firestick.

Thought? Thanks!
Tom

Unless they improved the Beam, I don't like the sound. That said, it was teh display at Beast Buy, so there's no way to know how they might have screwed it up.
