Has anyone done a Samsung Frame on an articulating arm and kept it flush to the wall?
I saw a post somewhere with pics but can't locate it now........
So, we're have to keep the One Connect behind the TV too. This adds more complication to the installation.
I'm thinking of a Sn@p One Connect VersaBox or the 14" model since it's smaller need to remove the Wattbox plate to fit the One Connect probably.
The trick is what brand/ model In Wall articulating arm to use. Hoping/ praying someone has done something like this here.
* I forgot to mention we are also putting a Sonos AMP behind the TV as well!! Yes, there is no place to put it. So after some responses here we ordered a Future Automation WB26-2S wide back box. This should hold everything!!

"Flush to the wall" says to me that the front surface of the TV lines up with the drywall or whatever the surface finish is. That is, if you're standing off to the side of the TV, when it's packed away in the wall you can't see more than thin lines that outline the face of the TV... or the frame.

So the entire depth of the mount plus TV are positioned such that none of it protrudes out of the wall when it's put away.

I'm pretty interested just to find out how it's done!
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I was thinking, as I saw/read what you wrote, that there was a post on here about that but I'm also thinking it was so long ago it might not be as useful. (I haven't tried the search.)

I did find a post or two regarding this. But the one I had seen had some nice pictures. It may have been on a Facebook group, I honestly don't remember.

I remember seeing this. You essentially need to cut 2 big holes in the wall in precisely the right locations. One for your recessed mount. And one for the stupid box and whatever else you need to stuff in it. The Snap 21 x 14 box will fit the box fine. The TV has a standard VESA pattern so pick your mount. Some in-wall mounts still do not let the TV sit sight against the wall however. So check those specs.

I've done it a number of times using the Chief Thinstall mounts and back boxes.

This thread has some info and photos:

Samsung's One Connect box, which should have been more square than the debacle it is, doesn't fit in the 14" VersaBox without bending the edge and even then, it would require removal of the plastic mounts on one side.

If anyone from Samsung is watching, CHANGE THE FREAKING CABLE SO IT'S IN-WALL RATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have done this several times with Future Automation PS series mounts coupled with one of their in wall boxes.

They have an adaptor specifically for the Frame model
What do you mean you wanted it on the other wall - couldn't you have mentioned this when we prewired?

if you ask me, you're going to need 3 boxes behind the TV. One for the mount, I agree with SB Smarthomes on the Chief. Then you'll need one for the One Connect box. The Versa Box 20x14, or DataComm makes some good ones also. Neither of these will leave enough room though for a Sonos AMP, so you will need a third for the AMP and anything else you want to put back there.

It's going to look a little busy back there. Might want to think about doing a Sonos Port behind the TV and using that to create a source that you can send to an AMP in a different location. I think a Port will fit in a 14" wide box alongside the One Connect.

If you want the AMP to be part of a surround system for the TV, replacing AMP with PORT will not work. First, because PORT does not support surround and second, because PORT introduces 75ms latency. AMP's latency through an eARC port is more reasonable.

Assuming you are wanting a "picture" look (back of the TV to sit against the face of the wall), we get the framer/finish carpenter to build a box 2" smaller than the size of the TV and 4" deep. This allows for all the space required to fit the one connect box, Sonos Amp, and power while still being able to have the TV sit flat against the wall.

send me a message with your email and I can send you some pictures.

I ended up using a F.A. box. But I couldn't find a specific adapter for the Frame model. Do you know what it is?
