Hey all. I looked on the Vanco, Metra, and KD Websites but couldn’t find anything. All I could find a some random switcher on Amazon. Can someone lead me to a HDMI switcher that can do HDMI 2.1?

Thank you, Craig

He said he was looking for a HDMI switcher... not a matrix. AVPro doesn't make a switcher anymore, closest thing is there 4x2 matrix and that retails for over $800. I'm pretty sure that is way out of the price range he was thinking.

HDMI 2.1 'switchers' that are high quality and name brand = Denon AVS-3 & Marantz VS3003. Retails for $179-$199. And neither one is available anywhere right now.

There is the guy that comes on once a year to spam this forum from hdtvsupply with the Wolfpack brand.

And then there is all the really cheap stuff on eBay and Amazon. Which I don't believe for a minute can actually allow thru the bandwidth that they claim, without causing signal issues.

Products are designed and tested, but sadly like all else now parts are N/A.

It's a 4x2 HDMI switcher with HDMI 2.1, correct? Sorry it's a $800 matrix.

Harry is right on. He gave the solution that seems to maybe be the only one available at the moment. OP did not specify what type of "switcher" he needed, how many inputs/outputs, nor a price range. Reading minds may not be Harry's strong suit. You gotta work with what you have.

The AVPro might be the way to go anyhow, if the user cannot get an AVR that can handle the bandwidth, he might have an older one (again, this info is not available in this thread), and the AVPro matrix can send the audio to the receiver, while handling the video in full bandwidth. It is a niche product that can be used in several applications.

Thanks for the input everyone.

Client will be using a Sony 83a90j, and a Sonos ARC sound bar. He will be connecting a PS5 and the newest Xbox (who’s number escapes me at this moment).

The TV only has a single 2.1 input that we can use. So at this time a 2x1 switcher would do.

I told him we may have to make due until an affordable one is available. The $800 matrix will be too expensive but I still appreciate the suggestion as it IS a solution.

He linked me to an Amazon piece with surprising promises for the price. I shared the same concerns mentioned here.

Thanks again for the input.

Craig.

Sorry you are correct. I didn’t explain myself correctly. One of the 2.1 ports is the eARC port which gets used by the sound bar, leaving only one additional 2.1 port for use with sources.

He's doing an $8,000 Flagship Master Series TV, another couple grand in games and a soundbar, yet an $800 piece from a great company that you know will not cause problems is too much money???

This sounds like one of those situations where you know the right answer.

Yeah, this. Also a godawful looking ARC with that gorgeous TV? At least put that ugly thing in a Leon Tonecase!

In this case the 2.2 refers to the HDCP capability (BTW; A switch is typically invisible HDCP [of any kind]).
