Does any one know of a PDU that would provide the following :

- Vertical rack mount at rear of rack cabinet (dont want to loose any U's)
- Can auto ping devices IP and power cycle them if no response is received
- Can auto ping devices ports and power cycle them if no response is received
- Has a web GUI
- Has a temperature / humidity sensor
- Can integrate with control systems over IP (or 232)
- Can send email alerts for power spikes, temperature spikes, device resets etc..

Normally i use the Pakedge P9 (more specifically the P8i which is the UK version but you can think of this a P9 for the UK electrical supply) and an Pakedge NK1 to achieve this (the NK1 adds the adding functionality of being able to ping ports as the P9 can only ping IPs), but i need 24 managed PDU ports in this current rack build im looking at and i cant afford to allow 4x Us for the P9s + any blank Us for airflow etc... hence why looking for a vertical mount unit. Pakedge also do a 20 outlet vertical unit, but i understand this cant integrate with an NK1 the same way a P9 can.

In case you are wondering why i need to ping ports, Im in the UK and here we have a very ubiquitous satellite TV provider called "Sky". The Sky set top boxes are notoriously unreliable and freeze frequently. The Sky boxes can not be pinged via there IP, but rather you have to ping a particular port on the box.

Wattbox has a pdu that has all that except the temperature sensor. They have a 12 and 18 outlet.

Thanks, unfortunately the Wattbox products are not available in the UK.

Check out DLI. DOnt know if they are available overseas, but they have a pretty in depth API. Not sure if they have temp sensors though. Seems that would be easy enough to add separately.

Take a look at Raritan: [Link: raritan.com]

We use their PDUs globally.
