What a soy-boy fruitcake spokesperson! And what's that nose ring spose to symbolize?

I think both sides are acting like a bunch of pussies.

I miss the kind of "peaceful protests" we watched when I was a kid - before the pussification of 'Murica. lol

I came into this game for the action, the excitement. Go anywhere, travel light, get in, get out, wherever there's AV trouble, a man alone.

You have now heard from 2 people who live here and who actually know what is going on in our city, yet you choose to continue to believe a false narrative being fed to you by the media because that makes you feel better.

In reality, there are thousands of regular people, including Doctors, Lawyers, Moms, Grandparents, Clergy, and more out protesting in support of the BLM movement.  Now they are supercharged by the tyrannical actions of an unstable president who is doing everything he can to maintain his grip on power by trying to look like the "Law and Order" guy he is everything but.

Last, I keep hearing about 20+million in damages to the buildings.  This is simply not true.  That is taking into account lost revenue at the nearby shopping mall and other businesses that would be losing the money regardless of the protests because of COVID.  There is a bunch of graffiti, and that is about it.  Modern technology allows for pretty painless and quick graffiti removal.

Yeah, those “riots” in philly last month were peaceful. I just walked down walnut street where everyone in the world was watching. We’re 5 weeks after that shit and it looks like a 3rd world country. Yet these riots were still considered “peaceful” by the media at large. BTW walnut street in Rittenhouse sq is the wealthiest part of Philly.

Ohh, and 5 police cars were burned to the ground last night.....but yeah, nothing to see here, move on.

Just when I though Rachel Maddow was a idiot, there you are typing up a whole 3 paragraphs of the dumbest shit I've heard since "russian collusion". Well at least you didn't waste 30 million dollars, so you have that going for you.

Drove through Portland yesterday on my way to Vancouver. Just a standard drive like normal. Although the homeless encampments along the freeway are growing.

I have also been to the Triad manufacturing facility in the past. Its in an industrial park nowhere near the Federal Buildings. But you don't even need to go that far to find normalcy in Portland. You can literally walk about 2 blocks away, plunk down at a Starbucks and enjoy a typical summer day.

Before Trump sent in the Occupying force, the protests were down to a few people standing around on a street corner with a couple cops standing around watching them. It was dwindling down and starting to feel a bit pathetic.

But the Conservatives want Blood. They want to see Americans they dont agree with harmed. They want to watch it happen live, then they want to have Tucker or Hannity explain to them why they are justified enjoying watching.

Conservatives by and large believe Americans are their enemy. Better get used to it.

Those that support BLM (the "corporation") dont understand what the BLM company is or they wouldnt support them. Its AMAZING how gullible people can be.

"Occupying Force"? LOL, you are a bit confused there bud. Like I said, gullibility is abundant. Its out in all its glory to experience the demise of our country and freedoms.

Maybe if there wasn’t something worth protesting, people would stop?

Are there people here opposed to equality in justice, opportunities, and treatment?

The easiest way to tell how much Conservatives actually care about a Federal Building is to look at their history.

In the recent past The Bundy's armed themselves and took one over and held it for weeks. Conservatives response in the Media, in person, in print? Nothing, if anything a showing of support.

When the minority elected President Pardoned them? Cheers.

Shall we Do Timothy McVeigh next?

since you made a random claim without offering in clarification to those you claimed are to gullible to know themselves, I thought I would share a link for some context to the BLM.

[Link: blacklivesmatter.com]

There is something called Black Lives Matter Foundation which isn’t affiliated with the original BLM.

here is some reading material.

I doubt many of the protestors are actually involved with BLM, they simply support the cause, which is equality, not only by law but by practice. Checks and balances to insure the values and rights of the constitution are upheld equal for all citizens. True patriots defending our constitution.

Let’s go back 4 years and compare how the government handled it when others took up arms and occupied the federal building.

Spoiler, they were acquitted  and some pardoned by Trump.

So your argument is. Anyone wanting to occupy a Federal building is allowed to do so and cause any amount of damage they choose to.

Or are you saying because the Bundy's are white they got special treatment? Also who acquired them. Was it the White Sox's, cause they need the help?

Looks to me that most of the "protesters" in Portland are white also, so that crap doesn't work.

You're previous post said the protesters are true patriots, how? By looting, destroying government and private property, assaulting government employees trying to protect a building from damage.

Lastly. You're a douche bag, probably not you fault. It's a product of upbringing, your parents we're probably douche bags also. Only you can stop the cycle.

Cory, I don’t think you’ll find a man here who does not believe in equality in justice and equality in opportunity. But it’s only when you dig deeper into the BLM political machine that thinking people start to disagree.

Your first link that shows their purpose is excellent until you get to the last several paragraphs. I think a lot of people who might be wholeheartedly behind the movement and its concepts will make a U-turn there. Why do they have to get so far out of the mainstream and take away from the support they might otherwise have? I think mainstream America still believes that a traditional mom and dad family turns out the most balanced kids, and there’s plenty of science to back it up.

And if you really want to have a balanced look, it would be time well spent to dig deeper, and find out whether their fundraising actually benefits the very people that they want to help. I don’t believe you will find that is the case. I think they made $40 million in a couple days after the George Floyd killing, but I don’t think any of it gets into the neighborhoods that you would normally expect it to support, lift up, and empower.

So it is when they get intensely into those areas that I think regular people, who are willing to live and let live, don’t want to join in when their purpose is so plainly stated. Just my opinion Cory, not trying to stir you up, I hope it will be received the way I mean to send it.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.
