As one who has threatened us with thread closure for posting political crap, that is pretty amazing coming from you, sir.

Are you aware that Portland had “peaceful protesters” for 50 something nights in a row?

Lies indeed.

Another who can't read. Triad in their statement specifically said "Due To Covid 19". How hard is that to understand. And it was Tucker who brought up the question of Covid or protests. Why is it that those of you on the right can't seem to be able to read a simple sentence?
And as for the other forum, I specifically said at the very beginning not to make it political. People ignored it. That's why it was shut down.

Nothing is shut down due to the protests. Stop listening to Rush and his lies.

I see...
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

Could be due to at least one of Triad's suppliers shutting down, too.

Do you believe everything you're told?  It's often beneficial to take a step back and look at any situation as a whole rather than just accept what someone tells you.

Think critically and question everything.

The factory is a long way from downtown where the protests are happening. It has nothing to do with that.

Google maps show 14 miles away. This sounds like a really big stretch that localized riots would effect their operation. But for all I know, Google maps is now fake news.

This is a great point these days. We had a local protest/riot and the comments on the news/Twitter the next day and weeks later were "We were having a peaceful protest until the police started firing tear gas and bean bags at us. That's why we burned the city down!" If you believed the media (which many young people do), you'd think that the police and authority were "evil".

Guess what, liberal left? The police just released the video. It clearly showed people launching rocks up to the size of softballs and bottles at the police. People in the back of the crowd were kicking and punching innocent people trying to drive by. The police station had been covered by graffiti from "protesters" for hours. Once they saw someone trying to light a Molotov cocktail, they started moving people out. I thought this was a peaceful protest?

Some 59 year old lady got plunked in the head with a bean bag. Initially, the narrative and her lawyer's story was "she didn't do nothing!" However, the video shows that she was right in the middle of the group throwing rocks and bottles, she throws a coke/beer can and the police couldn't tell the difference from 100 feet away. My take is: Don't hang out with people who lob rocks at police. Play stupid games and win a bean bag to the head.

Okay well, here's some facts for you.

I live in the suburbs 13 miles from from where Mr. Floyd was murdered in Minneapolis.  We own a house 4 blocks from 38th and Chicago, the intersection where it happened.  We know and have had numerous discussions with people who live in both of these areas.  We know and have had numerous discussions with people who own business in both of these areas.  We know and have had numerous discussions with law enforcement in both of these areas.

We had a contractor robbed at a property in the middle of the day 10 miles away from the riots.  Criminals get pretty brazen when the idiots of the world and the idiots they vote in actively try to defund and chastise the entire police department for the terrible acts of a few.

I can tell you from first hand experience as a property and business owner that looting and rioting affects far more than just the small area where it is happening.

I'd love to now hear your first hand knowledge of the situation.  I'd much rather have a discussion about that than of letters you received or the things you happen to see on social media.

I'd also like to point out that regardless of the actual reason they did it, telling the public "we're shutting down due to Covid" is a far better business decision than "we're shutting down due to the riots in our city".

I live in Portland, and have seen the protests and downtown firsthand.  There are no "Riots" here.  There are a few bad apples out of the thousands of protestors who are throwing objects at the cops and painting grafitti, etc.  The news makes money by sensationalizing real life events, and in this case, they are making the situation looks much worse than it is.   Also, the protests and related activity are taking place in a 6 square block area.  We are far from under siege.

Who are you going to believe though? A guy that lives in Downtown Portland, or Tucker Carlson? For my money and MyPillow.com I am going with Hannity.

Fox only makes money if they keep their flock angry, outraged, and afraid.  It’s kind of pathetic, really.
