I may have just put in my last Roku ultra. Is it just me or does anyone else still see the HCDP screen periodically for no reason. I just did one last week. No AVR, just a older Samsung 1080p TV and a Bluray directly to the TV. I get a call an hour later from the customer reading me the HDCP notice screen. I have 3 other customers with different systems and this warning still haunts me. I have dumped down the resolution. That seems to have helped. Anyone have any good suggestions or am I back on the Apple TV bandwagon.

I have it from time to time, I just declare those units dead because they follow the Roku's....Just replace it and move on.

Far FAR more issues with ATV then Roku.

I’ve only had those issues running through extenders. Never ones behind the tv
Knowing that Gold went up a few K makes me think "well now I have to do a better job on selling more equipment".

Same, and it was only one time several years ago. Haven't seen it since with many in extender's. I chalked that one up to a faulty Roku, which we ended up just placing behind the TV in the end.

I see this very regularly on Roku devices including on my own. Power-cycling fixes it until next time. We don't see it as much with AppleTV units and I think (IMO) on 1080p projects that your issues would be minimized with ATVs. NOTE: We see lots of issues with AppleTV and 4K. If all of the components including cabling aren't the latest-and-greatest, we have to mod the resolution or make other tweaks for everything to work reliably.

I dont ever recall having an HDCP issue with a 1080p system. not many 1080p devices even checked for an HDCP handshake.
