We are installing a 55"TV for a customer in a Great Room that is all windows with west exposure. She is concerned about glare during the afternoon hours. What is the difference between OLED and QLED with respect to glare or is there no difference?

Samsung QLED QSeries have high brightness and the best anti-glare coating in the business. Highly recommended for bright rooms.

We use OLED for theaters, darker rooms and master bedrooms.

In agreement with what's been said.  I have QLED at home for these reasons (wall behind TV is floor to ceiling glass the full width of the room).

The key is the backlight technology and Samsung is available with everything from edge lit (Q60R) to full array dimming of various levels.

Stick with the sets with full array dimming (Q70, Q80, Q90).  The 16X array on the Q90 is worth the upgrade in price and provides a picture that's close to OLED with a lot more brightness.

Keep in mind the Q90 has the One Connect box which can be a good or bad thing depending on the situation so plan accordingly.

OLED has much better colors and blacks than QLED. It’s the closest option to plasma. Always go with OLED if they will pay for it. I’ve never had an issue with it not being bright enough

would have to disagree with that. they are noticebly dimmer than a retina burning QLED. i LOVE OLED, but not for a bright general purpose room. its annoying in fact IMO
