We use Visio as well. Create our own shapes if needed and easily scale to whatever sized drawing you receive from the builder/home owner/architect.
We also have a plotter to be able to print off the drawings to take to site (24x36) drawings are typically large enough for us providing the scale has been set properly.
Visio auto creates a legend and count and provides space for site notes/specs for specific devices.

Looks like Bluebeam is $350 per user basically - but it's a software you purchase with some cloud features, or is it a subscription SOS? I'm not clear from their website how you update the software in the future or if there are on-going charges?
For those that have used Visio and Bluebeam, what makes Bluebeam better?
