I’ve stayed away from LUMA for a long time. Giving it a try again and can’t figure out how to get LUMA link going and an OVRC home account.

Snap is very vague about how this gets setup other then “it’s easy”

Client gets a new phone every month so this is way easier to set up for them then doing the traditional port forwarding.

Create the project in OvrC.

Under client services/users create a user. The credentials used here are the ones they will use for LumaLink and OvrC Home.

Just went through this last night on my personal system and spent quite awhile on Snaps site looking for documentation.

Is this done in the app or online? I can’t find it on either.

Snap-this should not be this hard, let alone this hard to find info.

Either one. Client services is in the list right at the top just under the client’s name.

Hey everyone,

We actually have been working on getting a more thorough PDF designed for this process. Sorry it is not ready yet!

Today we do have a video that shows the setup for LumaLink.

In respect to where should you set this up? You will want to configure the OvrC Home account for the client on the desktop version of OvrC. Something to remember, generally the more screen real estate you have the more features you have access to in OvrC.

Just select the client in question then client services across the top. Once there you can create an OvrC Home account for the customer under users.

The client uses the OvrC Home login in the LumaLink section of the Luma app. You as the installer use your OvrC login in the LumaLink section of the Luma app.

Derek, I stopped using the desktop version because it seems that OvrC doesn’t like to load on Chrome.

?? I only use Chrome when I access OvrC. No issues. So something is up there, on your chrome settings maybe?

Lumalink is 100 times easier than setting up access with local access and DDNS. To make it even easier for customers, I will often open my own OvrC home, log in using the customers info, then all they have to do is open the luma app, click on lumalink, log in, and voila, they have access. Granted, we will always have those customers that cant/wont do that lol. So be it, we just take their phone and do it for them.

(not to mention with Lumalink, we dont have to touch the router for any port forwarding).

I know what you're talking about. It seems I bookmarked my OVRC page after logging in. Every time I go to that page, there is an error. Just hitting the refresh button gets me back to the login page.
