We are looking for new proposal software. We came across Jetbuilt and at first glance it seems like a good product. Does anyone use it and have feedback?

Thanks!

Yup, solid. I just do basic proposal stuff ($50/month), but you can do a lot more. I went to it as Portal replacement last year. When I signed up they had a two week trial without a credit card, so there's that... The proposals that you do build are very customizable visually - add your own pics etc.

I use Jetbuilt on all of my quotes even if I make them on other platforms first (I use Service App for field quotes and invoices).
We will be transifitioning to the Enterprise version of Jetbuilt next quarter as we grow.
The only negative is the learning curve, there are so many features that trying to utilize them for quick quotes can be daunting.
My approach to learn that was to go into the Designer settings and minimize everything a client would see and work it from there. My first couple of quotes were like 15 pages with a heading and one or two items per room/system.

There are training videos and the tech support sales staff are great!!

Does it do drawings or any documentation? How does it compare to D-Tools?

BYOD-

You can easily import Visio or StarDraw files.

There is also QuickBooks integration.

We've been using Jetbuilt lately as a Portal replacement. Very happy with it, and the proposals are top notch! Also trying D-Tools cloud as it's similar and not much more....the edge they might have is the whiteboard feature and slightly better product library. Between these two I think we have found our goto proposal/CRM software for sure. It's also nice that they both sync with Quickbooks as well.

It doesn't do drawings, but you can attach PDF files as "spec sheets" which is a nice touch. I believe you can add any type of file as an attachment to the final proposal.

Seems like all positive feedback. That's good to hear.

I wish there was one program that could do it all... estimated, proposals, accounting, crm, etc.

I'm surprised no one has done it yet.

Does jetbuilt enable you to send the proposal “through” their site? That’s one very nice feature that Portal has. we get updated when the client opens, Accepts or declines the proposal.

We reviewed Jetbuilt, D Tools, and Simply Reliable.

Simply Reliable
Massive misnomer, was crap, lots of flaws in the data base and reporting system. Was outputting reports where rooms where not totalled correctly, tax not added etc.

D Tools
Never trialed as it was PC desktop based, and we run OSX.

Jetbuilt
Feature rich, Great support, would recommend.

You can either download a pdf version or send a web link for clients. However I don’t think you can get a notification if the clients views it or not via the weblink ......however I just emailed them that question yesterday and am waiting to hear back.

Please let me know what they say. This is one of the biggest reasons why we moved to portal.

Will do tomorrow.

FYI D-Tools Cloud($80/mo) does do this for sure. I tested this yesterday and it works great. We're hoping to choose one of the two by tomorrow and move all of our proposals to one system once & for all!

Too bad Portal didn't work out for us. The constant changing model and company direction has been a rollercoaster, and at a cost of more than even D-tools I don't see it being viable with their current SAAS offering. That and the CEO publicizing an office "pool" betting on the people(US) who pay the bills was a major turnoff for me.

This thread was forwarded to me over the weekend. Normally, we wouldn’t jump into a discussion, but with the recent inquiries from Portal users, we are trying to help proactively answer questions as best we can.

Almost all Portal folks who have given Jetbuilt a look this month have asked for or have been requesting the ability to deliver proposals from within the application. This has been on our build list for some time, but with all these new requests we are moving it forward. It should be live this week.

i started the trial today and have to say its pretty slick and easy to navigate. aside from the time needed to get configured it was very intuitive. the online chat help was awesome.
