I have to say... has anyone EVER seen something made in "North Korea"?

If they managed to manufacture even one remote it would end up being dinner for one of the poor people unfortunate enough to have been born there. Other than fatso, everyone there has intestinal worms from eating dirt for dinner.

13,000 post here and you're an end user?

RH, he's been a member here for five years longer than you have. He has freely and openly helped. My recollection is that he has NEVER stooped to the dirt that is thrown here on a regular basis. He surely does not deserve the kind of treatment he's been given in this thread (and this thread is still mild compared to some other current threads).

Are you telling us that you have not benefited from his encyclopedic knowledge of remote controls? I found out by accident that Edmund was an end user after considering him a very knowledgeable member of "the fraternity" here for at least five years! What he knew and how professionally he communicated it made me assume that he was the rare engineer who knows how to talk with people.

OK, i get it, you say it in jest. Got it. :)

Not in jest. Dead serious. Edmund's knowledge and assistance shows that all our opinions of end users can be wrong and we can be found to be idiots on things we think we know all about.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Some of our opinions of end users.

My suspicions were confirmed when I flipped the remote over.

Had no idea he was an end user. That's why I ask and also suggested he was joking. You are getting up in arms over nothing.
