customer is looking to monitor a large construction site with no available power or internet connection. Has anyone used Arlo Go or similar battery powered LTE cameras? Do any other options that exist?

Hunting trail cams would be a perfect solution for this... they’re camouflage, you can purchase security boxes to prevent theft. (Some guys hunt public land)  they’re weatherproof... they’ll send images directly to a mobile device.

They also have a resale value....there’s always a market online to buy used trail cams.

I would look at this before Arlo. Arlo has a very limited range of motion detection. They work off of PIR motion sensors instead of true motion detection.

We are considering offering a rental option to our builder partners.

Trail cams normally record to an SD card and require recovery. The Snap unit is salty as hell but will do what is required. The idea of renting it out makes sense but would need an ROI analysis. The cell-gate option is intriguing.

I have reviewed Arlo go. It's not really meant for full-time connectivity and monitoring. [Link: cepro.com]

There are a bunch of systems like these, with full mobile set-up, often on wheels for rapid deployment (and removal). Don't know the economics of these particular ones, but they'll all be at ISC West in a couple weeks and I"ll check them out. Would be a great article as I see a lot of potential in our channel for these types of solutions:

In addition to SnapAV, ICRealtime has (had?) a similar system

Also, check with ADI. They probably have some options

There are tons of trail cams that send directly to your mobile now.   Here are a couple examples.

If only they had people who knew something about the products. I asked someone at the local branch if they have Lutron Caseta and he asked "What's a Lutron?".
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

Yeah, they’re too much coin for such an easy target. Especially the ones with a built in flash for this application. The small handful of purpose built units i’ve Seen are WAY up in the air looking down. If I was paying for it, I’d grease the pole too.

So... trees moving in the wind aren't detected by PIRs while true motion will go nuts in a wind. True motion detectors also see all the zombies.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
