Hello,

I have a RTI XP8 and one of my components in my rack is a Video Storm CMX1616A2 audio matrix. Communication is through RS232. All works fine until I have to reboot the XP8 due to a program update. 95% of the time after the boot, it looses connection to the CMX1616A2, but all other items in the rack no issue. I may have to boot one or two times again and then it will make connection to the matrix? The XP8 as the latest firmware. Any ideas would be great. Such a strange issue.

Thanks Jr

That's a pretty old processor. I just lost an old 8 in my home last week. Try another 232 out? Latest version of the driver? Try an xp6 to see if a connection remains solid? Load up the diagnostics driver and view logs to ensure commands are (or are not) being sent?
how in the hell does ernie make money?

Hello IRkiller,

Thank you very much for your reply. Firmware version is 3.16. I will try another RS232 out. I am using Integration Designer version 9.14.0.7852. I looked through my drivers and I do not see a diagnostic driver? Was this one a download from the site?

Thank you very much,
JR
