Hi, Im Fins, and Im an alco... sorry, wrong group.
Im home and back at work. I got out on the 3rd, but after 28 days with no internet or cellphone (limited use of landline phones) Ive been a bit slow to get plugged back in and make contact. I spent Tuesday and Wednesday with my wife and kids, and eased back into work yesterday, mostly getting caught up with where everything stands. Ive also been getting up now around 5:45 to make an early morning meeting.
Guys, I cant tell you how much your support has meant. It helped to keep me from backing out before I got in. And now catching up and seeing the messages I didnt see before I went in, I am speechless, I dont know what to say.
Kelly, I will try to give you a call this weekend and catch up. Someone really botched up your message. First they mixed up who it was for because there was another Casey there, so it didnt even get to me until a few days before being discharged. Then they had the first name wrong and said it was a co-worker. Finally on Tuesday it clicked and I realized what they had done.
I am not a Dolphins fan. I picked the name from a song. But maybe its time for a handle change given my new found sobriety. I assume virgin margaritas suck.
Oh, and sometime Ill have to tell yall about the stripper/hooker that was admitted while I was there.

Casey, Glad to hear you made it without me coming by to nagat you, or rag on you, or whatever.
As to their visitor mess up, I knew it wasn't going well, and couldn't talk to anyone that seemed to see it from any angle other than theirs.
Regardless, you get down this way, or I manage to find my way to the mountains, lunch is on me.
Great BBQ place here in town (Stamey's), and they have pretty good iced tea. Be good to see ya, and tell some lies.

Ive only met you a couple times. Always respected you and enjoyed your company. But most of all, pretty proud of the steps you've taken. Bummer er couldn't meet up last time I was in North Carolina. We tried :)

Fins, That is quite an accomplishment, great job following through. Everybody has issues but those who choose to resolve them impress the hell out of me. You're going to be so much happier and stronger for this experience.

Congratulations Fins. It takes a strong man to own up to a problem and then to stand up to it like you did. Be very proud of yourself. If your kids don't understand it now, I am sure they will someday. Best wishes going forward. Never look back. Your kids are worth it.
