The 980 buttons fit pretty well if you want something easy without having to resize other buttons. If you have photoshop even the elements version you can do batch resizing so it isn't that hard.
To get the 980 buttons copy the "Favorite Logos" folder from the 980 images folder into the 890 images folder. You'll have them for left and right buttons. They are a little short but they are the correct height and still look decent.

It is easy to do however, so that is a plus. I always had issues with many missing icons on the 980, although I typically don't provide a favorites page. The biggest concern I would have is easily creating a custom icon with the same look for those that are missing.

I'm not fond of them either but probably better than just text if you are going to add a few favorites in a pinch. You can do this between the other remotes in CCP as well but most of them the icons are smaller.

I guess the question is, why aren't there icon designed for the 890 and easily available? RTI icons are stupid simple to install.

So, I just got my first 890 in, and the button editor seems to be the same issue.
Is there anything insight here on making the pages more fluid that isn't a huge PIA? Besides just sticking with RTI which I'm becomming more and more fond of every day.

I have been programming an MX890. This is not the first URC remote that I have programmed. I also have been successful in programming my remote (MX880). But I am experiencing a problem with the MX890 that has me stumped.
I started off programming the unit using only IR and I was able to make it work perfectly. I then added the MX350 flash unit and now it will not power on my Samsung TV. I have tried everything I can think of but nothing seems to work. I also have separate button that allows me to access all of the functions of the TV. When I go to this page the power button works just fine.
I am using a macro to turn on my media system and as I indicated it worked perfectly when only using IR. I am stumped can anybody help?

Mrf350, not mx350.If you have the emitter placed correctly, and programed for rf with the correct it port, I'd bet your issue is you dragged commands from the IRDB into your macro rather then aliased them from the device pages

Right MRF350. My mistake. The answer is I have tried both. But it does not explain why everything worked before the MRF350. In fact if I remove the emitter from my TV it works just fine. As long as I aim the remote at the the TV. All the other devices power up except the TV with the MRF350 in place. It also does not explain why the TV botton, that provides access directly to the TV allows me to power up or down the TV using the MRF350? The following is the macro that I am using.

That tells me that, in the RF control section of the programming, the TV commands are set to IR, so the commands come out of the remote as IR. I don't know why the TV would not see those commands if "the emitter from my TV" is connected, unless you're not actually using an emitter on your TV but instead are using a cable from the output of the MRF350 to an emitter input (or IR input). Check your programming to be sure the RF setting is right for the TV commands. Maybe also provide a bit more detail as to how the TV emitter is connected and placed.

All of the RF control section is set to RF/IR. Maybe I will try just IR but that does not explain why the defined button I setup for the TV will allow me to turn on and off the TV. If the emitter was incorrectly placed that TV defined button would not either.

What I posted explaims exactly what would happen if you added an mrf350 but you dragged your commands to the macro window from the IRDB and not aliased. I cannot see the image you posted, doesn't seem to work.

I hope this works. I am having problem getting the image to show up. I have used the 350 with my MX880 without issue. Only the 890 is giving me fits. The problem is not obvious.

How are you creating the image address? I've opened it up and extracted the URL that's inside it and the site says there's no such page. Since it hasn't shown up with the method you're using, how about NOT trying to make it show up, but instead giving us the URL of where the image is? Although I don't know what the "blob" part of it is....
