Hello, I'm Mike.
I was here a lot in the 1990s and on.
I loved that Pronto remote and all that I learned here.

Life and more life has been in the way and have not had time to devote to remotes or a home theatre.

Just bought a big Sony OLED, have a home built media PC and a Yamaha Receiver.
Where can I get a current cool all in one remote?

- under 200 is great, open to other options.

- need macros and the clicker picker only recommends obsolete hardware.

Thanks

My name is Larry. I live in northern Wisconsin.
I am a retired systems analyst [read: ET + programmer].
My most productive years were as tech support for cellular phones & accessories, and some biomedical. I have worked on office equipment and farm automation systems, too.

Originally, Navy-trained as a [surface] FT.

Lately, I have been tinkering with the URC that our cable company provided us with and that has become a whole 'nother rabbit hole (and how I came across this forum).

My preferred URC is the Onn 6-device [Model: 10020904], though Spectrum's "silver surfer" has more buttons available.
I use my OEM remotes & IR remote detector to guide the programming of my URCs.
When the OEM is unavailable, I use a Remotes World 43-button, USB clone in their stead. You can download the key sets in their library and they will make corrections for you, if there are any errors or omissions. (I paid for the physical device, but they have not charged me for seven subsequent downloads.)
I have since archived all my OEMs into my personal library.
