I want you to help me.

I use tsu9300 and want to update firmware.

I operate updater with a PC,and tsu9300 does not do reboot and makes lockup with philips logo screen.
Using the key combination that forced update mode contains.I tried a mode plunge, but do lockup with philips logo screen.

By reset,normal movement is possible.
The xcf downloading from a PC is possible normally, too.

What will be wrong?
Tsu9300 is Dameged?

I don't understand mode plunge.

Does this mean that your unit is working?

By reset,normal movement is possible.
The xcf downloading from a PC is possible normally, too.

To do a forced update, you need to run the updater while remote is connected to the PC. Then, use the hard buttons to do a reboot. (Home, Menu, Page Up). Before the Philips logo comes up, I think you need to hold Buttons 2, 3, and 4 simultaneously below the screen.

I've never owned a 9300 so I am guessing here based on how the other models work.

hi,Lyndel
Thank you for your answer.

→I tried it, but lockup with philips logo screen.

Are there any Tsu9300 users who have successfully updated?

Do I need another key combination to enter the update mode?

1. Disconnect your TSU9300 from your computer.
2. Launch the 9300 firmware updater. (see version I tested below)
3. From the starting screen of the updater program, Press Next.
4. You then will see a screen that indicates problems connecting with the Control Panel. Click the 'Troubleshoot' button.
5. Connect the pronto to your computer and then follow the instructions on the screen. Execute a, b, c in order and within the timeframes specified.

a. Press Home + Menu + PageUp
b. within 2 seconds of doing this, press Firmkeys 2 + 3 + 4 simultaneously and keep them pressed for at least 2 seconds.
c. When the control panel reboots and is in upgrade mode, the 'Repair >' button at the bottom of the screen will be enabled. You can this click this to force a full firmware update.

What you neglected to indicate in all your threads is what version of the firmware is currently running on the remote. The reason I ask is someone hacked the firmware to enable ProntoScript for the TSU9300 and that version is also in the files section.

To validate the instructions above, I installed TSU9300Updater_V7.3.3-1.4.5.exe to my machine and ran it.

Regards,
Lyndel

hi,LYNDEL
Thank you for giving me important information.
I used V7.3.3-1.4.5 updater to proceed with the procedure, but I will lock it in step b.
The running firmware version of the Tsu9300 is 7.0.18.

This Tsu9300 was recently obtained at an auction.
I can't use the rotation key, so I want to update the firmware.

I don't live in an English-speaking country, so I'm translating and posting by computer.
I'm sorry for the difficult explanation.
I need help in this place because I can't get the official support of Philips.

Thank you for your continued support.

If you are doing this update, also try using Windows XP or Windows 7 32 bit. If you are using Windows 10, there may be issue.

Also, try removing any Logitech wireless mice/keyboards from your PC.

I've never seen a case where you can do everything on the remote except for updating firmware. Note that you don't have to do a full firmware update, just update without replacing the configuration then download your own which you seemed to indicate you could do.

Contact user GoPronto from this site. Maybe he has spare TSU9300's. As you cannot move past step b, i'm thinking there may be issues with your remote.

If you download a sample config to the remote, does it continue to hang on the logo screen? If so, then it is likely something with the memory is damaged. Contact GoPronto.

I tried using windowsXP32bit, but it was the same situation.
The sample download is done normally and works correctly.
Is there a possibility that the boot loader is broken?
Is there a way to fix it?

Thank you, LYNDEL.
Please take care of me in the future.

Bootloader is part of the firmware. No idea what's happening. Reach out to GoPronto as I recommended. He's in New Zealand.
