I spilt beer on my TSU9400 last night resulting in a few erratic hard buttons, it's been sitting in bag if rice all night. Trying this morning and seems only a few are effected although still bleep so I'm going to try downloading the config file later today.
If that doesn't fix issue has anybody got any advice on strip down before I try to do this to clean any contacts.

The 9400 is quite easy to dismantle and clean up. There's a guide here

[Link: remotecentral.com]

I use Iso alcohol and a cotton bud to clean the contacts on the board.

While you are inside, be sure to remove all of the beer residue. Otherwise, the residue will eventually turn acidic and destroy components and the PC traces.

Well thanks to Jim for letting me know the link to jwatkins80504 very helpful strip down process help guide I've sorted my 9400, although have my 9600 as a backup for some reason I prefer the ease of one handed use the 9400 offers.

There didn't seem much gunge to clean out but the hard buttons were getting worse. If its any help to others I used a glass fibre cleaning brush and rubbing alcohol with cotton buds.

I took on your advice buzz to clean pretty much everything so no beer residue left behind and its all working a treat now, very happy.

Years ago a cat tipped over a floating candle into a receiver at 3:00am. Customer had the receiver in my shop in the morning. What a mess!! Anyway, I flushed the boards and 10 years later the customer moved out of my area and the receiver was still working fine.

Alcohol for small bits that can't be simply be lifted off. A bigger issue is the liquid.

You can put it in your oven, heat it up to 175 degrees and hope the wax drips off. ROTFL.
