Hi,

I am looking for someone that can help me design and program my remote. Would gladly pay for the effort.

I can share more details of all my equipment with whoever is willing and able. :)

Thanks in advance!

Please post your list of equipment here and the types of interfacing you would need as this would help us try and determine the level of effort in hours and then break it down by cost/hour.

For example,

Denon AVRxxxx - RS232 via RFX9600
or
Denon AVRxxxx - TCP/IP (Telnet Port 22)
or
Denon AVRxxxx - IR via RFX9600/RFX9400/Line of Sight

Sony BDP-N460 - IR via RFX9400 Extender
Mitsubishi WD65835 - IR via RFX9600 Extender
DirectTV - IR via line of site.

Then for Watch type of activities, you have
Watch Blu Ray
Watch DirecTV
Watch Cable TV
Watch Blu Ray with surround
Watch DirecTV with surround
Watch Cable TV with surround

Then same for types of listen activities.

And finally, if you are trying to do any type of home automation such as HomeSeer, Lutron, or any other things, also helpful to highlight those here too.

The level of effort required depends completely on the type of interface connectivity you desire as well as the interactions between components.

For example, you want to Watch Blu Ray. That involves controlling a display/projector, the BD player, and possibly if you want surround sound, an AV receiver. The Activity in the Pronto will require connectivity and monitoring possibly for all 3 pieces of equipment.

With more information, you may get more responses as I'm sure you don't want to write a blank check and anyone doing the work would want to also ensure they bill for appropriate hours, etc... A contract of sorts.

Best of luck,
Lyndel McGee

Thanks Lyndel! Great point.

Here's a list of equipment and what I am looking to do.

Denon AVR-X4700H - IR via RFX9600
LG OLED C1 - IR
Marantz Projector - RS232 via RFX9600 (This will soon be replaced with a JVC DiLA
Lutron Grafix - IR via RFX9600
Sony DVD UBP-X700 - IR
2 smaller Samsung TVs on either side of the LG TV
No Hassle 8x8 HDMI Matrix - IR or RS232 via RFX9600
Roku - IR via RFX9600 or TCP
Firestick - ?
Google TV Chromecast if possible

For Watch Activities

Watch TV via Firestick
Watch Roku
Watch Google Chromecast
Watch DVD
Watch LG TV with surround Sound

Would like to be prompted which display device (TV1 - Samsung, TV2 - LG, TV3 - Samsung, or Projector
No Hassle 8x8 Matrix will need to select the right input and outputs based on selection

If Projector selected, would like to dim lights via Lutron Grafix

Also would like, but not crucial, to be able to swap what's playing between TVs so assuming TV1 is playing Firestick and TV2 is playing Google Chromecast, swap Chromecast to TV1 and Firestick to TV2.

For things like your HDMI switch, links to protocol documents if you have them would also be very helpful.

Sure, here's the link to the RS232 commands.

...did this topic progress anywhere? I'm sure there are others here who will be happy to pay for assistance to program a Pronto remote.
