I admit I didn't try to search for this first. Even if it is possible, Im not to that level of understanding yet. But if it's possible to control my nest thermostat with my TSU 9600/9800 remotes via some cool protoscript Id def want to do that once Im better with this software.

Same with Kodi software for playing music/videos. My Kodi lives on a KDLinks media player that supports IR. Some Kodi commands are not served well by its IR remote alone tho. As such I tend to use the KDLlinks media player software that can be fully controlled by IR commands.

I know that with the external 9400 unit two way tcipip data link can be established with the panels. It would be cool to see song/media titles and other meta data on the TSU displays if possible.

NEST via Pronto - Probably impossible.

KODI - Search is truly your friend. Maybe try a search of KODI in this forum and brush up on your JavaScript + the ProntoScript extensions from the Dev Guide available on this site.

My programing skills on this will need a full tutorial walk-thru. Someday tho.

My 9600 and hopefully drop-it-into-the-9800 project is finally working well.

Next goal is to make use of the 9400 IR extender unit. I'll make a fresh post about that.
