Hello everyone,

I'm considering putting in a few bids for a TSU9300 but now have concerns following a message displayed within PEP3 saying error with codes as outside the remotes IR range for the Philips TV but the codes for the Manhattan Satfree box seem fine..

I want the remote for our static caravan home to allow my wife to work TV and Satbox more easily, I have learned commands from the Philips remote using my TSU9600 and then imported the database to PEP3 and thought today I'd try and learn PEP3 which I have done pretty well at.

My question is that PEP3 database is saying for the Philips TV;

'Incompatible IR Code: This code is outside the frequency range of this control panel'

So if I were to upload my config file to a TSU9300 would commands be able to be learned without issue using PEP3 from a Philips Android 2020 TV.

Thanks in advance as just hoping someone else on this forum has advice with a modern Philips Android TV using Pronto devices.

You cannot learn codes directly on the 9300 as far as I know.

Learn the power toggle code and post the IR here as I would like to see it. (Please post the 9600 value and the 9300 value).

I thought that the pronto pro line was all the same with regard to IR codes. I know the 9400/9300 won't do audio files and the 9300 does not support script.

Thanks Lyndel,
When I next go to the holiday home in a week or so I'll copy commands with my TSU9600 and my SRU970 and post the results here if still having issues.

ok, I though I'd and get back with a bit of an update as help to others or to see if anybody can tell where I might be going wrong.

I won a TSU9400 in great condition from eBay but still had issues copying commands from the Philips Android TV remote, this was using my TSU9600 and the TSU9400, loads of corrupted and overly long HEX codes often in blue.

I have now solved the issue in a strange way, I created a simple page of buttons for my RU970 and then using the learn option directly on the remote I copied all the commands from the Philips Android.

Connected the TSU940 using PEP1 and learned the commands from the RU970 to that, at last, nice clean dramatically reduced clean black HEX codes, everything working a treat.

Issue solved and when I finish all I will upload the config file which may help others.

That's not a strange way. That's my recommended to port codes between IR Platforms when Pronto Hex is not the 'source' format or the 'source' codes may not be clean.
