Just got a TSU9400 and I would like to display the volume level from my Denon receiver via IP - could anyone point in me in the right direction. Thanks

You need an IP module for the denon.

Do you code in JavaScript and want to do this yourself or are you looking for someone to provide a drop-in module?

I presume the Denon is multi-zone as well. Do you have more than one Pronto that needs to talk TCP/IP to the Denon? If so, that will be an issue.

I don't think that a drop-in module for the 9400 is still available.

Once upon a time there were various modules available and compared on this site. Search Denon TCP and you will find the comparison that I did with regard to complexity, etc.

I have a set of code that you can customize to your own liking but requires decent amount of javascript knowledge.

How long have you had the 9400?
Have you configured the 9400 to control your system already or are you starting fresh out of the box? Did you also acquire an RFX extender? Are you using PEP1, PEP2, or PEP3 (Not recommended as was only release beta).

I'm asking all these questions to see where you are as one can quickly get overwhelmed if earning to 1) create a working configuration, 2) design all your graphics 3) Learn JavaScript, and 4) Learn the Pronto extensions to JavaScript (ProntoScript).

By chance have you downloaded and reviewed the ProntoScript Dev Guide available on this site?

Hi Lyndel, no I havn't started anything on the setting up of the remote yet. I'm coming from an old Pronto Pro that I set up and was hoping that I would be able to pick up setting up the 9400 fairly easily. I guess I was hoping there would would be a bit of script that I could let it know the IP address of my Denon and I would be all set!! I don't have an RFX extender yet but intend to get one.

Which version of PEP do you recommend I use? I will send you an email now.

I recommend PEP2 but that will involve you also learning how to use My Database which behind the scenes, a Component in a Project is the equivalent of a Hidden Device with Hidden Code Pages with Buttons containing IR Codes (if you ever did something like that).

There used to be a module for the 9400 that was close to 'Just Add IP' but I think the site is no longer available.
