Forgive me for my probably ridiculous ignorance but are there two difference versions of this ie Philips Pronto TSU 9600 and Philips Pronto Tsu 9600 professional ? I see them described differently and hence are unsure of which route to take!
One more question why is the manual I've looked at so small ie very little documentation. Most I've appreciated along this line provide so much more information. A lot more info.
Thanks all in anticipation of replies.
The Fox.

They are the same. Later production lines added a /37 (US) country code for them.

The reason the manuals (all are on the site here) are so small is because the control panel (aka remote) is intended to be programmed by a professional installer. Philips had a certification program where they provided additional information about more advance capabilities. The editor is publicly available on this site (see the Pronto Pro Files section).

Earlier versions of the editor had a larger help file and the last version of the editor uses a Robohelp dll and web help which does not run on windows that well.

If you are installing the editor, I recommend a 32 bit windows OS but others have no issues with 64bit. Windows 10 has presented some people with challenges during download from PC to the unit.

Sorry to continue but is ther anyway I can continue to try and set this up along the similar lines as the Marantz RC5400 (although these are different manufactures ) or am I in a quick sand scenario with this one and should just give it away or better still sell it. Cosmetically it looks nice though and I only need it it for 4 ops ie sat receiver/amp tv and other tv when required. very annoyed that this is the only remedy though. Anyway, thanks for your help and honest answer before I try to progress along this line of getting frustrated with myself!

Your first questions were about the TSU9600. Now, it appears that you are looking to convert from one remote to another?

Are you asking for someone to setup your TSU9600 based on a configuraton you currently have on a Marantz RC5400? If the answer is yes, do you only have the RC5400 remote or do you have remote plus an extender?

In order to port the file, you will need the original config file for your remote. If you have access to that file, someone could indeed port it.
