Hi,

I'm sure not to be the only one with this issue.
PEP gives me the error, when trying to download to the TSU:

Communication with the Pronto failed during download. Please check the connection and retry. (Error: C7, Copy)

I use:
TSU9400 (I got 2 of them, same error on both)
Windows 10 on 2 different PCs (same error on both PCs)
PEP 1.1 (indepenent which version, actually I use 1.1, but tested with the other versions as well)

I tested:
different USG ports, USB settings, running PEP as admin, in compatibility mode, etc.

In the past it worked with the same devices and config files.

Looking for help....
Rainer

By chance, have you updated windows to this version or higher? I personally run Win7 and purposely have not put Win10 on my machines.

One solution might be to use a copy of XP and Virtual PC. But I am wondering if the changes to USB HID on Win10 and that version will prevent virtual PC from working.

I have this happening occasionally ( I have PEP version 1.1 and Windows 10). I just power off Pronto TSU9400 using its power switch. And the power on. Sometimes I have to do it several times but after that the connection works. Hope this helps.

Hi, Rainer - Your problem is that Win10 updated the USB interface with Win10 v1709. I have been running Win10x64 v1703 in a VMWare Virtual Machine (VM). Oracle Virtual Box should work, too.

My Win10x64 v1703 VM is almost never connected to the internet - I leave the VM network component disabled. This is crucial, because you don't want your Win10x64 VM to accidentally get automatically updated to a more recent version of Win10 - it will then become useless for Pronto Pro programming and you would need to create a new VM.
