Hi,
I didn't change my Pronto for many years.
Now it's winter time -> time for my TSU 9400/9600/9800.
Today I was looking into my ProntoTimer (Schmutzli) application and I noticed that the sunset/sunrise timer isn't working anymore.
I haven't change anything.
Where is the issue?
The contact to Schmutzli (Roth.mediatechnik) is down.
Can anybody help me ?
Is it possible to set the actual time of my Prontos via internet ?

Regards,
Fischi

The script for ProntoTimer I think is protected? .pjs file? If so, the only person who has the source code to debug/fix will be the author.

Do you have the configuration file and can you download the configuration to the pronto again and set daylight savings time as a possible fix?

Thanks, Lyndel

1. Yes, the script is protected, but I noticed that Schmutzli's contact is down :-(
2. I think it should be possible, will try it out. Would it be possible to set the
sunrise/sunset time by a separate script ? It comes from weather.com and I think that they have changed the API for this.

The time of the pronto isn't very accurately after a few days.
Is it possible that the Pronto synchronises it's system time over the internet ?

Best regards,
Fischi

Hi Lyndel,
I've changed the daylight saving time from on to off in the settings.
But no luck with the sunrise/sunset time in ProntoTimer :-(
Do you or anyone other have ProntoTimer running too ?
Do you have the same behaviour ?

Fischi,

Sorry, I never used ProntoTimer so cannot help with this one.

I just checked his new site link as well and it is down. Did you try emailing him at the address on his profile on this site?

Here is the post with the link I tested.

With regard to setting the Pronto Time, there is no way to sync it except through download from PC. Anything you do from say weather.com would be a date/timebase change only. If your Pronto is 'losing time', I am curious if your battery drains quick as well because the only thing I could think of that might cause this would be something that is hogging the CPU.
