Thanks for the tip on creating the directories and changing permissions - worked perfectly for me on Window 10 Creators Update.

I starting getting the "Error C5, HID Not Found" error when trying to download to a remote. The Pronto was the only HID device installed in device manager, so there was no conflicting device to uninstall (the error is usually due to a Logitech keyboard or similar device causing interference.)

The only way to get it working again was to reinstall ProntoEdit Pro.

EDIT: Running ProntoEdit Pro as Admin seems to have fixed the "Error C5 HID" problem without the need to continually reinstall.

Windows does updates that appear to screw up the HID.

You may also find that the installer hangs after installing the uninstaller. This is because it is trying to stop the database service and fails. Leave the installer running and go into task manager and kill the Prontoedit database service. The installer will continue and complete normally. I think there still may be another permissions problem as no Prontoscript modules were installed under my local user directory

Ah! Yes. Thanks.

I installed Windows 10 on my main laptop for the first time today. Well, I went dual-boot. I've still got Windows 7 Professional 64-bit installed on my C drive (2 TB SSD). I installed Windows 10 Home 64-bit on my D drive (1 TB SSD). Just finished getting everything installed including PEP v1.1.20 and PEP v2.4.23.

I installed PEP v1.1.20 first. Once installed the application would display the splash screen for a brief moment when launched and that's it. Setting the "Compatibility" tab as shown below resulted in the application launching successfully. After installing PEP v2.4.23 I went with the same settings on the "Compability" tab. No issues.

That being said, the results were mixed if I also enabled the "Run this program as an administrator" option. When enabling the option for PEP v1 the application would fail to launch. I wasn't even getting the splash screen. For PEP v2 it didn't matter. Either way the application launched successfully. Encountered no issues from there opening, editing and saving configuration files. No issues with either editor. I haven't tried downloading anything yet though.

That's good news. I have 4 Win7 boxes (3 are 32bit and 1 is 64 bit) and I am thinking of moving to Windows 10 on the 64 bit box.
