I started playing around with PEP 2 again for the first time in years. One of my friends in NZ still has a rather large stock of 9600s and I was considering porting a current design called Aleera to this remote. It would be compatible with the 9800 as well.

I just wanted to bounce it off you guys to see what you think.

I added a new option if you don't want to have redundant jog / nav buttons on the touch screen. This way you can have just the RGYB color buttons or both.

Thanks jaybbb. I have been going back to this and working on it in my free time, and I may just go ahead and finish it for nostalgia sake.

I would treat this like any of my modern designs, and by that I mean I would have pre-made / labeled pages for all of the major US cable / sat providers and international (including Bell Canada. Austar, Foxtel, Freeview, SkyHD and Sky Q for the European and Australian / New Zealand markets).

I'll also include virtual versions of all the streamer remotes such as AppleTV 3 & 4, Amazon FireTV, Roku, NowTV, and even Prima Cinema.

The preset channel icons would also cover US, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, New Zealand, Sweden and the UK.

I know that no one has created anything new since about 2009, but Pronto still has a huge following. I used my 9600 for years and it was a great remote.

Sorry, this is not something that I could use. I'm not doing much with Pronto at this point.

Thanks, buddy. Call tonight if you like.

I am adding the streamer virtual remotes to this template as we speak. I am also adding lighting options (scenes / dimmer) and 2-8 button keypads for custom applications. I'll keep posting screenshots if you guys don't mind.

I figured this would only be for the CI community & die-hards who love the Pronto brand and are still using it on their own systems. This is one of those projects that is completely unnecessary, but I want to see it through to the end.

I like the clean lines and with the TSU9800 I've just acquired I think it would be a great upgrade to my design. It's great to see there is still enthusiasm for these remotes.

Thanks
Matthew

I sort of put this on hold because it is designed for a remote that is discontinued, but I am willing to finish this template and put it up on the website. I think the loyal Pronto following may enjoy putting an all new design on their remotes.

It will be completely up to date with regard to activity (and room) icons, scenes etc..

Would love to see how this flows even at it's current state. It looks very sleek and cool, so I like what I see right now but, with a remote like the pronto, it's not just how it looks, it's how it flows and works...

Thanks for showing..

Well, I have all the libraries to build the pages, but a lot of them need to be modified because Pronto doesn't let transparent areas on button be pressed. I have been jumping back on this in my spare time, but I think after all this work, I may have two people actually interested in it. Pronto has been gone for quite a while. I did enjoy my 9600 a lot when I had it. Almost wish I never sold it.

I am using the same UI in my iPad and iPhone (Bitwise Controls) and I also use it on my RTI system, but it is mostly for uploading and testing UIs / drivers.
