Without changing anything in my configuration and setup my wifi strength icon of my tsu9400 disappeared.
It began with a red cross and after a few minutes the icon totally disappeared.
The Errorcode of the tsu is 0490 “Extender(s):network is disabled”
Pressing any button results in a “command failed” error.
I use PEP2 version 2.4.23.0
Firmware version TSU9400 is 7.3.3
Firmware version RFX9400 is 1.4.7
RFX connected with ethetnet cable to Linksys WRT610N Router. (I also tried with wireless g)
TSU connected to wireless network with WEP encryption (I also tried without security)
I tried fixed ip addresses.
PC finds extender via discovery tool after unplugging / plugging adapter cable.
Everything worker perfectly for 3 years.
I searched the forum. Discovered many threads about “network” and “command failed’ but nothing about errorcode 0490.
I tried all the advices that were given in your forum.
I think one of the TSU or RFX is defect.
How can i find out which device causes the problem or is defect?

Sorry If I might be pointng out the obvious. But, are you sure that the Access point still works?

Maybe the wifi module of the pronto died.

Try to email the error code to the pronto team and look what they say about it.

Try to use the RFX with the simulator, to see if the rfx works.
Try to couple the TSU with another router to see if the TSU works. But might be that the RFX is ok, as the TSU says network disabled. So check in PEP2 if you don't have the disabled option selected under the network settings.

The Simulator reacts exactly the same as the TSU. Also the Command Failed message. What can we conclude about that?
IN PEP2 the networkoption is Wireless. I Cannot find a disabled option.
I am glad with your reply.
In the meantime i have e-mailed the Philips support team.

If you want to test the TSU with your AP , try using the weather script on the pronto, this will prove the WiFi connection through your AP,

By the way make sure the AP is set to G only.
Pronto still one of the best Wi-Fi Remotes,

I installed a Dlink DIR855 router.
Connected RFX9400 Wireless (only g)(WEP) to this router.
Router shows status of wireless clients.
RFX shows up in this list.
TSU9400 configured with wireless connection to this router.(WEP as well as without encryption)
TSU does not show up in the list of clients.
I think the WIFI part of my TSU9400 is defect.
I will have it repaired, or buy a new one.

Sounds like it yes.

Or maybe, if it's like a module, it just lost connection with the mother board after a fall. Cant tell for sure as I've never opened a TSU.
