Hi all I'm trying configure the wireless before programming the TSU9600. If i have a RFX9600 connected over a wireless router using a UTP cable, and i have 2 or 3 AP connected to that wireless router over UTP too, when i program the TSU9600 and i move from one AP to another AP is it going to work ok? is the TSU9600 will be able to roam trough the different AP's and communicated with the RFX9600?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

In Theory maybe, in practice no. The Pronto does not like to drop the radio (wi-fi) connection until it loses the signal completely. Using prontoscript code you can force it to drop the connection and reacquire a stronger signal.

If you go to the advanced WiFi settengs in PEP2, you can get the pronto to look for a stronger WiFi signal every 1 minute, then it will roam.

other wise you need to set up your wifi network with no over lapping , some wifi AP's let you set up the power output which can make things easer :)

It depends , on distance and the materials your home is made off

Just put one AP on first..

get a WiFi Signal strenght App for your iPhone or Laptop, and place an AP somewhere in your home and have a walk around to see what the signal strength is like, or you could use the pronto to see where the signal is week or lost.

There is no easy way of doing this as Wifi 2.4ghz signals can do some strange things some times, you may find one AP in the right place can cover your whole home.

The TSU has the RFX ip address if, the RFX has a fixed Ip address
