Hi, as I was saying in the other posts, sorry for my lame questions, but I'm new with this remote things and I'd really like to make PadOne to work with WMC for my system.

What I have here is a RFX9400, a TSU9600, an AP, and my computer. The network seams to be fine, because I can use prompt commands to ping the TSU and the RFX IPs and I'm getting responses, OK.

The PadOne is installed and I have the latest version, the new one for Win7.

After all, what I made was to add "Windows Media Center" to my ProntoEdit project, as they say at the Pronto website's FAQ, and configurated with the IP of my WMC computer, but the "Listen to Music" button at the Pronto screen just don't work. I can't even see any "conection failure" message. Just nothing.

Any ideas?

Thank you very much and sorry for this dumb questions.

See other PadOne threads about having to disable antivirus to allow Macafee (anti-virus) to allow PadOne to open a listening socket such that the Pronto can connect to a specific port as required.

I think I'm making something wrong when I add "Windows Media Center" to the ProntoEdit Project. Tomorrow I'll be with a guy that understands the remote, but knows nothing about computer networks and we'll try to cooperate to put this things together. :)

Thank you Lyndel!
Thanks for your help here,

When you added the activity, did you set the property of the activity such that you supplied the IP address of your windows MCE pc that is running PadOne? If so, then your problem is likely that there is antivirus software that is blocking PadOne's capability to open the port or your router/gateway is blocking communication to said port (if you are bridging 2 routers, for example).

I disabled the antivirus, the windows firewall and everything.

I think the problem isn't with the network because, even in the simulation, the "Listen to Music" icon created for WMC makes no effect.

Everytime I try to remove the Escient "Listen to Music" button and create a new one for the MCE, I receive this error message after the download of the scrip do the panel:

"Activity jump removed from button action list (activity = 'Home', page = 'Home Page 1', button label = 'Listen to Music')"

I think I'm making something really stupid here. :(

The Escient Listen to Music the comes with the template takes to the music browser interface and I don't have this equipment here.

:(

Lyndel, the Problem was with the Home Menu. Now I have the system working with the PadOne software here and everything is great, except for a single detail that I just posted in the "Cammand Failed" topic.

Thank you for your help!
