I have all my devices set up to use the volume control via my amp which is setup in system properties.

When i select either my Denon CD player or my Denon Bluray player, everything works fine.

But when i select Sky,I keep getting a lot of 'Command Failed' errors, although it will eventually turn the volume up or down.

I can't really understand why there is a problem with Sky,but not the others ?

I am using a RFX 9400 wireless extender,if this has any bearing on the situation.

The extender is set to NETWORK mode.

Hi

If you have the extender in Network mode, im guessing it is hard wired to a Access Point?

If your getting command fail on Sky only, make the sky IR only (not through the extender ) and do you still get the command fail?

Maybe the Sky buttons are repeating whereas the others are not repeating(?).

Unfortunately its not hardwired as all my 4 network ports were already taken up.

The volume up\down hard buttons are assigned to my amp,so regardless of what activity is being selected, shouldn't the results be the same ?

But surely the volume control is to do with my amp and not sky ?

I had the same problem with my RFX9600 and it took me a bit to figure it out.
In PEP for some reason some of the devices such as the amp,sky and dvd player
had doubled up in the component list and the ones that had doubled up the extender box was not ticked.

As soon as I ticked them and downloaded to the remote all worked fine.
This took many hours to work out and I do not know why it doubled up on some
components and not others, something to do with Windows 7 64 bit maybe.

My suggestion is simply that you might be getting lots of command fails because the corresponding codes are repeating and, perhaps, repeats are being sent quicker than the extender can process them.

Sorry for not making my question that clear, sometimes its very difficult to describe these things properly.

The only 2 devices that are connected to the extender via IR mini jacks are the amplifier and the CD player.

Thanks for the offer of looking at my file,if i don't manage to sort it out myself,I will send it to you.
