Hi,

I would like to know how to select the external input list (by command or script) for the Sony TV?

e.g. with Sony KDL-4xW4500 with the button external inputs I can select one input from the following list:
TV
AV1
AV2
AV3
HDMI1
HDM2
HDM3
Component
DMPORT
PC

Configuration:
Sony TV
Sky satellite (connect to HDMI1)
Pionner AV receiver (connect to HDMI2)
Dune bluray player (connect to AV receiver)

I try to activate the function watch DVD with the following actions:
Turn on Sony TV
Turn on AV receiver
Turn on bluray player
Select External input on Sony TV ---> How can I select HDMI2 with only one button from the orginal remote control (input selected with the up/down key)?

Maybe, by using one of these discrete codes?

Or try all Video commands listed here...

You can also generate full set of IR codes for Sony TV with information from:

[Link: hifi-remote.com]

To generate code sets, you will need MakeHex.exe that is available in the Classic Pronto Files Section. There are instructions on the site above that explain how to use MakeHex for generating the Sony codes of your choice.
