Hi Guys,

I have a client with a RC9001 and he also has an Escient Vision. There is a .xcf file on the Escient website for 2 way TCP/IP control of the Vision server.

My problem is that Wizz.It will not load the file and tells me " You are trying to open a 5.0 configuration file. This file format is not supported by this version of Wizz.It Ex. Please install the latest version from [Link: marantz.com];

As far as I can tell, I am running the latest version and I cannot find a newer version than the one that I am currently running. It is 1.09.0

Does anyone know of a newer version, or any reason why the .xcf file wont open.

I look forward to hearing your responses.

Thanks in advance

Jason

I am not sure that you will be able to use that file from Escient with Wizz.it. It was designed for PEPV2 and supplies a code database with the 232 strings.

You may be in a position where you have to install PEPv2 on your machine, get the 232 codes from the database and paste them back into the Wizz.it editor.

Contact Escient to see if they have a file compatible with that version of Wizz.it.
You may want to contact Marantz to see if an editor is available.

However, beware that that remote has been discontinued and I cannot locate software on the Marantz site. Could be that I've let my Owner's Circle account expire.

You can download to an RC9001 via PEPv2 software.
Some of the additional features will not work due to old firmware (5.0.7 being the latest on the RC9001)...
EG: Backgrounds won't work, and if you wish to use backgrounds, use a panel image sent to the back behind everything.
