ok heres my problem, i cant for my life of me get a serial command to work my directv box, i downloaded bipolarbears xcf and tried it and it works just fine, but when i try to just enter a code i get nothing, im on port 1 on the rfx 9600. ive got 9600,none,8,1 and my code is FA A5 00 01 E1. any ideas on this one?

Does it need a carridge return at the end?

or may be a STX and and ETX at the start and end?

have you put the HEX string in the right box?

tried both boxes, with and without the carridge return, ive used these codes on rti and had no problem and bipolars codes are the same as well, the only difference is he is using pronto script and i am not

yes it worked but heres the thing and i cant explain it , it didnt work , my computer needed to be restarted so i did reloaded evertthing and now its working, have no idea whats going on, thanks for ur help though

May be that "quicker" download caching that was added in latest editor/firmware. Philips mentioned this on their site.
