We have two TSU 9400 remotes, working perfect a long time, this morning out of the blue all of the execute and jump commands on our main remote quit working, all other functions on the remote work! Downloaded file to our other remote and same thing happens. I have no clue what could be going on!!! Need some thoughts please!!...Thanks In Advance

I am using PEPV2, on our home page we have six buttons which have activity jumps (execute and jump) to another activity which has multiple actions to setup whatever we want watch/listen to. I am using RF with RFX9400. All buttons which have just actions or jumps work fine but the execute and jump to another activity does nothing. I tried deleting them and adding back in but it did nothing. I noticed even on the simulator the buttons with the execute and jump do not work. I do have the most recent firmware on the remote

do you have the latest version of pep installed too?, when you say execute and jump are you referring to combined actions and jumps under the button properties or an activity jump which only executes macros in the designated activity properties?

Current on PEP, and I am using the activity jump under button properties, it shows up as execute and jump when you select that button. I would email my file to you to look at if you have time.

After much troubleshooting I have figured out that if I delete my RFX 9400 extenders from the file the macros will run and if my equipment database is associated with the extenders (I have three RFX 9400) then the macros will not work. I am stumped at this point!

Yes, it is indeed important that if you are using latest firmware on remote, you should be using the matching/corresponding firmware version on the extender. They are usually released as a set.

Lyndel upon going through this configuration we noticed the fiile would not run in pep2 's simulator is this normal behaviour?
as the simulator has no knowledge of the firmware the intended bases are running.....

This topic has been discussed here before. Cannot find the thread at this time.

If you have extenders in your config, you must remove them in PEPV2 prior to simulation otherwise, you get 'Command Failed' errors..

I deal with the issue by adding the extender and port numbers to the room ID for a device. I can remove the extenders for simulation then use the room ID hint to restore the extenders later.

This will not help ProntoScript RS-232 devices, but I added a try/catch to the RS-232 code to allow simulation.

In a minute or two I can switch between simulator and regular mode.

Note that Jon Welfringer has a piece of code that will likely help to overcome this issue.
