I was using my remote all day. Battery was low but not so low that I got the "low battery warning" . It was later in the evening. I finished watching a movie so I placed the remote in the charging base and went to sleep.

The next morning I went to use it. I removed it from the charging base and there was no display, it seemed dead. I put it back in the charger and same thing, nothing the remote appeared not to wake up. However when I touched the display screen some of my lighting(Radio Ra) turned on. Strange?????

So now I thought, Oh Sh_t! The display screen just freakin burnt out. Powered off the remote then powered it back on and thank god it rebooted and is back to normal.

What is up with that? This is a PL2 serial numbered 2nd gen model.

Update:

My remote is now doing something strange. When waking up out of sleep mode the display brightness seems to surge for a second. Never notice this before and my other tsu9600 doesn't do this.

I have some video that shows this here:

">

I changed the time-out to 4 sec. for this example. Normally set to 40 sec display time-out.

Really weird???????

Did you, by chance, power off your computer while the remote was attached to the USB cable or in the dock? If you did, you ever do this, you should reboot the remote immediately. In cases where I have powered off the computer and not rebooted the remote, I awake in the morning to a remote with dead battery.

No this unit was in my living room. No P.C., no USB.

Not a battery issue. I didn't mention after I rebooted the unit and it was working again and the battery did get a full charge over night.

As long as this doesn't happen again I am going to chaulk this one up as one of those unexplained qlitches.

While not connected via USB, this has happened to me like 2 times before and a reboot usually cured it.
