Thanks Lyndel. I'll try the ground loop isolator.

What do you mean by "mono-cables"? I have a mono cable connected from IR Port 3 on the rfx9600 to the "Global-IR" input on the ZR-6. This is what has been causing me so much grief. Is this what you're talking about? Before moving to RS-232, I had the same cable connected to my Marantz receiver and it never caused me any problems.

By the way, my rack has no metal. It's a custom made rack constructed of MDF, medium density fiborboard.

Would just running the RG-6 through the F-connector filters on my APC Power conditioner possibly resolve this?

make sure you are connecting to other equipment using flashers , not mini plug to the rear
