When I connect the Control Panel to the PC and try to download the configuration file, Windows display an error. (Error : HID not found).
Can anyone help me?

If not, have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software? If you try this and are still having problems, please report back.

I've received this message a hand full of times. In every case all that was required was resetting the remote after first undocking it from the cradle. Rebooting my PC as recommended by Philips has never resolved the issue for me.

Look for the USB driver in your Windows device manager (type Run -> devmgmt.msc)
under Universal Serial Bus controllers and check the composite Device for the driver it uses. If there is a problem it can already be indicated by a yellow exclamation icon.
The driver should be the default windows c:\windows\system32\drivers\usbccgp.sys
If you don't have that file copy it from another windows machine...

LowPro,
I just had the same experience, I got the HID error when trying to learn an RC command, then I got it again when I tried to download a new configuration. Tried restarting the PC a few times with no luck. All that was needed was a reset of the Pronto and everything is working fine.

Yeah - I too get this a lot. Resetting the controller fixes it every time.

Yes me 2, remote reboot fixed it, after restaring my machine as Philips suggest did not solve the issue.

Hi Guys, old thread I know but I'm getting this with one TSU9600 only. I can download to other 9600's without problem but this one unit (my demonstrator) just is not seen by my laptop (windows 7). Reset doesn't have any effect, trying to force a firmware update / repair doesn't work cos the Pronto simply isn't seen.

Any ideas?

I have not had any recent incidents, but on XP I needed to disconnect the Pronto, reboot the Pronto and sometimes reboot the PC too.

I have a laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Am only able to download to my TSU9600 remotes via PEP if I first disconnect all USB devices from my laptop, then disabling all of the "HID-compliant mouse" drivers showing under, "Device Manager\Mouse and other pointing devices\".

You may want to email Belgium with exact model as Logitech/Harmony ;-) may be doing something that Pronto does not like. Or the Harmony extra-button software may indeed be trying to allocate Pronto as a mouse.
