AC codes always contain all the parameters rather than just the one that you want to change. So, for example, there is no code for 20c. But there is a code for 20c, med fan, cool, no swing, etc. And another code for 20c max fan, cool, no swing, etc. And, so on.

AC remotes also send all the parameters every time. Obviously if your remote was set to 25deg, auto fan, etc and you change it to 24deg, then only the temperature changes in the HVAC but, technically, the remote is sending 24deg, auto fan, etc. That's why the display on AC remotes always shows a complete picture of all the parameters.

Thanks guys, i think that we got the idea.

but now the real problem is how to duplicate this signal to be sent by another IR transmitter i.e. i have Pronto TSU and i need to control my AC through it (Carrier expression).

I searched a lot for the IR codes but with no luck, so please help me on this issue as well.

Do you have a model number for your AC? Carrier Expression doesn't help much.

Unfortunately I don’t have the model number, but I think all carrier split units have the same IR codes and correct me if I’m wrong since you can use another’s types remote as replacement, and I really appreciate your help.

This is a new conversation, right?

We need to know -- do you have the original remote control? And which Pronto model do you have? It matters.

I searched a lot for the IR codes but with no luck, so please help me on this issue as well.

That's not really surprising, as people who come to this site rarely deal with air conditioners.

Is that your name?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Hi Ernie,

I’m sorry for any misunderstanding, my name is Alaa Masry and it is just my nick name is ScOrPiO.

Anyway, I have the TSU 9800 and I installed it in my office where I have Carrier AC (model details mentioned earlier) and I need to control everything through the TSU, and I have the original Remote control of the AC , but the problem is as mentioned in the previous quotes that whenever you adjust anything using the Remote control it sends back all the settings to the AC not only what you adjusted, and I would like to duplicate this IR signal to transmit it from my TSU, so I was wondering if anyone can help me on this issue.

Thanks again.
