I have an old Russound CAV 6.6 system that has been in place for years. Trying to add Control 4 system. I would like to control volume and source selection directly from the UNO-S2 keypads, also in place for some time, using the C4 controller. The S2 keypads have an External IR Receiver In on the back, originally meant to be used with an external IR Receiver with Power, Ground, Signal, and Status. My thought is to connect the IR out from the C4 controller, directly to that External IR Receiver port, using Tip for Signal, and the Ring for ground. Can anyone tell me if this should theoretically work? My main concern is that I have never connected an IR out directly to an IR Receiver in.

I think you have to ask Walt Disney on this one.
"Quality isn't expensive, it's Priceless!"
