I lost the remote for my sony sa-ct60 soundbar and was able to link up my dish network remote to turn the soundbar on and adjust the volume. The problem I am having is that I do not know what buttons to use on the remote to switch between the analog, optical and coaxial inputs on my soundbar. I need to have it on optical when watching tv and on analog when using the DVD player.

Please help! Going nuts here!

Thank you!

To be honest you will be doing yourself a huge favor by either 1. Getting a replacement remote or 2. Getting a new programmable universal remote.

Even a harmony (cringe) would work fine for the purpose.

Do not expect the Dish remote to do what you need

1. I read a bit and I was wondering if there is a preferred universal remote that works well with this unit.

and,

2. Must I buy and insert an RI or Re device into my iPhone 5 in order for the universal remote app to replace an actual physical universal remote?
