Hi, I have looked everywhere for a proper manual for my 2 old vcr's hoping to find out how to set the remote to control the tv, but I can't find a full manual.
Maybe my search skills aren't up to scratch, would really appreciate if someone could help me find the codes and method to control the tv!


Of the two, the remote I'd rather use has this model number on it:

LP20703-

the other one has on it: LP20402-005A

they are both philips original.

How can I set these to control a panasonic tv?

Do you have the model number of the VCRs?

yes, the LP20703- is for VR 620
and the other for VR 899

Here is the manual for a VR620/75. Not much in it!

Thanks. Yeah I saw the original manuals, but like I said, they seem to be missing pages...as you found out :D

I remember coming across those pages you posted, but after hours of staring at remote numbers over several days, I guess I didn't think to look closely at the bit that gives the alternate original vcr's they came with!

Thanks for the reminder, I checked out some of the US manuals listed and the setup procedure/codes worked! I wish at least one button on the remote would pop-up the channel info, but oh well, channel/vol/power/av is good enough for now!
